What I See
I see her standing there
Gold hair dripping down her back
Over her shoulders
Her hand gripping the wall
The other unmoving by her side
Legs more bent than is natural
Feet that refuse to touch the floor all the way
Her face is expressive
Her smile lives on
Her eyes hold secrets
The walls built up over time
Her ears have heard things
No one should ever hear
The insults, doubts, mountains to climb
I’m not the first to stare
The first to wonder
People don’t usually ask
But their silence is the insult
No one could ever really know
And then my reflection blinked
